Effect Plugin :

A wide range of sound modifiers can be applied to the song using the Plugin Effects. The plugins are of 2 types: VST plugins and AudioUnits plugins. The VST plugins work on both Windows and Mac, while the AudioUnits (AU) work only on Mac. VST and AU effects plugins are very common for audio professionals and there are extremely many to choose from and buy. You will also find lots of free audio plugins on the Internet.

The effects are made by third-party companies and individuals, and you should choose and buy what effects you like best. Most important, they must be compatible with DJ Mixer Pro, so please try them first. It's possible that a third-party plugin may crash DJ Mixer Pro or even Windows, so be careful what plugins you are using when going live.

One, two, three and even more plugins may be simultaneously loaded and used for each player, depending on the skin in use. Some effects have settings that can be modified during the playback by adjusting the sliders. You could also press the Edit button for effects that implement a graphical parameter edit window.

To load an effect you must click on the Add FX button corresponding to the deck you want the effect to be loaded on. A popup menu will appear and you can select the desired effect from the list. The effects list is constructed when the program starts up, so if you add any new effects on your computer, you must restart DJ Mixer Pro to actually use them. To activate an effect you must press the ON button.

You can also place effects on each of the decks (A and B), the microphone channel or the master output. For example it's highly recommended to place a Limiter plugin on the Master output channel so you can have a smooth sound no matter how you would set the gain and equalizers on the decks.

Again, please consider that VST and AU effects which are inserted could be very instable for the whole software and even for your operating system itself, so please check your 3rd party effects very carefully before you go on air!
