Loading titles in decks

I. Loading titles in decks:

All titles can easily be loaded and played from a list by drag & drop to the corresponding deck's display, or by using the list's popup menu. The next song can also be loaded from the current list using the Load/Next button on the deck. When in AUTO DJ mode, after cross-fading to the other deck, the next song in the current list is automatically loaded. The next song is emphasized in the current list by the next-song cursor, shown in light orange in the list. More info about the 'next-song cursor' and the loading process, you will find at the 'Lists' chapter in this manual.

When drag & dropping one or more audio files from another application on one of the decks (on its displays), only the first audio file is loaded in the deck, and the History list is updated with its audio and file information. Dropping folders (directories) directly to a deck's display does nothing.

II. Active deck:

If a deck is playing in the master output it's considered to be active. Usually only one deck is active, although when mixing both are active.

III. Seek Bar:

The Seek Bar slider shows the current song position. Click to reach the desired position. You can also use the 2 search buttons present in the BCD Blue skin to seek in the song. We will discuss working with cue points later.

IV. Song title:

Song title is positioned on top of deck for best view. When in loop mode the number of beats in current loop is displayed instead.

V: Basic Functions (Cue and playback):

The decks basic functions are CUE and PLAY-PAUSE and are emphasized using large buttons with the cue, play and pause signs used on the professional CD players.

The PLAY-PAUSE button simply starts/stops playback of deck at the current position.

CUE – sets the cue-point position / goes to the selected cue point / erases the current cue-point. You will understand the exact meaning of cue-points and of this button in the next paragraph.
